Day Seven: Thorncrown Chapel & Mount Magazine State Park, AR

We didn't have to check out until late today so we were able to drive the short distance to see Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, AR.  The Chapel did not disappoint even though it was a misty, foggy morning.

On the way back to camp, Girl M showed us this concrete Elephant she saw.  There were other items too but this is the only one I could get a picture of while Dear Hubby was driving.

While trying their hand at trout fishing again, Girl M. said she was being stalked by a butterfly.

Headed  to our next stop at Mount Magazine State Park, AR.  Crossing the Arkansas River to see the flooding.  It had receded but the damage to the farmland along the river was awful.

The old Gal is holding up even though the AC has a mind of it's own.  Only works when it wants to.  So glad we went ahead and bought the portable unit.

One of the scenic overlooks at Mount Magazine State Park.  We were in awe that we were above the clouds.

The park offers many short programs throughout the day, make sure to take advantage of them.  We did the Sunset at Mount Magazine, Night Sky & Only on Mount Magazine.  We should have tried to go to more.  They were very interesting.

Until next time......................
