Cedar Key, FL

Dear Hubby took me for a Jeep ride to Cedar Key on Saturday.  We should have known is was going to be busy.  Not only was it a weekend but the opening weekend for scallop season.  What were we thinking?

We've been a few times and every time we go it rains on us.  Twice on a motorcycle and twice in the Jeep.  This time is no different.  It rained but at least we had a little cover.

We drove around Cedar Key and were unable to even find a parking place.  We decided to head back out and find something to eat on the way out.

We stopped at Robinson's Seafood to let the rain pass.  The food was good, service was great and we got out of the rain for a little while.

Of course the only photos I took were while we were driving.

Jeep Ride
Since it was just a day trip we didn't take the camper.  We did look at campgrounds on our way in.  I liked the way Low-Key Hide-away looked.  They had some sights right on the water.  I looked them up and their price was only $60 a night.  Not too bad.  We just aren't into fishing and I'm not sure what else there is to do there.

We're planning on being home for a week or so.  I think we're going to Lumpkin, GA on our next trip.

Until next time............
